Day 1Arrival in Vilnius

Arrival in Vilnius. Meeting with the guide. Transfer to the city center.

Day 2Vilnius - Trakai - Vilnius

Breakfast at the hotel.

Vilnius - the meeting place between East and West. Visit the precious Old Town - the neighborhood famous for its interesting churches and picturesque streets. The Old Town of Vilnius, called “the architectural pearl of Eastern Europe”, is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list. The tour includes a visit to the Cathedral in the city center, to the church of Santa Anna - the pearl of 16th century Gothic art, to the Gate of the Aurora with the Chapel with the image of Our Lady of the Gate of the Aurora, Vilnius University and Praça do Marketplace.

Visit of Trakai: the former capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, with the brick castle located on an island. The Trakai Castle museum offers an exhibition that tells the history of Lithuanian lands since prehistoric times. The castle surprises by its magic, when entering through its main door, the visitor feels like in ancient times.

Return to Vilnius. Dinner. Overnight in Vilnius.

 

Day 3Vilnius - Siauliai - Rundale - Riga

Arrival and visit to Colina das Cruzes 11 km from Siauliai (UNESCO). For many years Colina das Cruzes became very famous. The date of the foundation of this place is not known. The numbers are impressive - Colina has between 100,000 and 200,000 crosses. Each of these crosses symbolizes a hope, a desire or a prayer to receive the divine blessing. In 1993 the Hill was visited by His Holiness John Paul II. Lunch.

Arrival and visit to Rundale: the Baroque palace designed by Rastrell (who also designed the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg) built in the years 1736 - 1767 by one of the Dukes of Kurzeme, sovereigns of the Duchy of Courland, today part of Latvia. It is an impressive architectural complex in its dimension.

Day 4Riga

Visit to Riga, the capital of Latvia. It is one of the largest cities in the Baltic States, an ancient Hanseatic city located on the bank of the Daugava River, known for its Gothic, Baroque and Art Nouveau architecture. He changed hands several times - Germans, Swedes, Poles, Russians - they are all part of the history of this multinational city. We will visit the old city with the university buildings, the Opera house and the Cathedral. Lunch.

Continuation of visit: the neighborhood of Art Nouveau and Jurmala, a tourist city, located in the Gulf of Riga, about 25 km from the capital. The Gulf is known for its 245 km of beach and wooden houses from the late 19th century.

Dinner. Last night in Riga.

Day 5Riga - Sigulda and Turaida - Tallinn

Arrival and visit to Sigulda, a beautiful city in the heart of the Gauja National Park - characterized by the romantic meanders of the Gauja River and medieval castles hidden in hills covered by intact forest. Sigulda is sometimes called “Switzerland of Latvia”, for its beautiful landscapes with small valleys and hills. Visit to the Turaida Castle Museum. The city is one of the main tourist destinations in Latvia. Lunch.

Depart to Tallinn. / 300 km /

Day 6Tallinn

Visit to Tallinn. Formerly known as Reval, with independence it chose its Estonian name. It is a city that has preserved its 15th century commercial aspect. A member of the Hanseatic League, he always played an important role between Eastern and Western Europe, always with a significant minority - formerly Germans, nowadays Russians. The visit includes the historic center, the Cathedral located on the hill, the Town Hall and the Church of São Nicolau.

Lunch.

Continuation of the visit: Rocca Al Mare. It is an open-air museum. Located on the coast of the sea, it houses a set of traditional and original houses of the time.

Dinner. Overnight in Tallinn.

Day 7Tallinn, return

Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out.

Transfer to Tallinn airport and board your flight.
