Day 1Lisboa

Day 1

Reception at Lisbon Airport and transfer to the downtown hotel.

Day off for personal activities.

Day 2

Breakfast at the Hotel. Departure at 08:15 going through Eduardo VII Park where we will give an introduction about the city of Lisbon, taking advantage of the majestic panoramic view of the city, we will know its geography and some hills of the Capital. We will travel back in time to the XV and XVI century, visiting historical monuments such as the Belém Tower, the Monument of Portuguese Discovery and the Monastery of the Jeronimos. We will also taste the most typical sweet of the city and of Portugal, Belém cake, originally created by the ancient monks who lived in the Monastery. Later we will see the Palácio de Ajuda (former Royal Palace), the Lisbon Cathedral, the Alfama neighborhood and the most beautiful viewpoint in Lisbon, viewpoint of Our Lady of Mount. The famous Avenida de Liberdade, Rossio Square, Comércio Square, Barrio Alto are places that we cannot miss. To finish, we will visit the modern part from the city of Lisbon: The Park of Nations, projected and idealized for the celebration of the 1998 International Fair (Expo 98), where the 500 years of the colonization of the navigator and explorer Vasco da Gama has been commemorated on his arrival to India. The visit can be made by cable car throughout the exhibition area (optional).

Return to the Hotel scheduled at 5:00 p.m.

Day 3Sintra, Cascais and Estoril

Departure from Lisbon at 08:15 in the direction of the wonderful town of Sintra (UNESCO Cultural Landscape in 1995). We will start the day with a visit to the incredible Palácio Nacional de Pena (Guided tour). The history of the Palace takes us back to the Middle Ages, when a small dedicated church to Our Lady of Pena had been built on top of the Sintra hill.
The current Palace is from 1838, when the proclaimed King Consort of Portugal,
Fernando II bought the property, where were the ruins of an ancient Jeronimos religious order monastery. This property had been built by order of King Manuel I (16th century) and turned it into his Summer Palace for the family. Today, the Palace is one of the greatest romanticism manifestations of the XIX century.
After lunch (not included), we will continue for a short stop at the westernmost point of Europe, Cabo da Roca.
Cascais will be our next destination, a beautiful and ancient fishing village that gained fame as a family resort of the Royal Portuguese at the end of the 19th century, as well as the refuge of European royalty. It is currently a popular vacation spot for Portuguese and foreign tourists. On the way back to Lisbon we will drive through Estoril, where we will have time to admire the beautiful Gardens of the Estoril Casino, one of the largest in Europe.
 
Return to the hotel at 5:00 p.m.

Day 4Fátima

Breakfast. Departure from the hotel at 08:00 driving to the north of Portugal in a short journey of 1h15 minutes to Fatima. One of the most important cities for Christianity throughout the world, the city of Fatima, houses the famous Sanctuary of Fatima in honor of a set of apparitions of Our Lady in 1917. Our guide will narrate the history of the apparitions and for the most devoted, there is the possibility of attending Mass. Time to visit Casa dos Pastorinhos.
 
The final destination will be Porto, estimating the arrival at 6:00 p.m.

Day 5Porto

Breakfast at the Hotel. Departure with a panoramic and guided tour of the city of
Porto. City that has given rise to the name of Portugal, known as Portus Cale. The city of Porto is considered by UNESCO, World Heritage.
We will discover the city with the famous Cruise * of the 6 Bridges of the Duero River, where we will have the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful landscapes over Porto and over Vila Nova de Gaia. Here in Vila Nova de Gaia we will visit a Port Wine Cellar.
In the afternoon, we will have time to see famous places and monuments of the city of Porto, such as the Torre dos Clérigos, Libraria Lello (where the author of Harry Potter is inspired), Iglésia das Carmelitas (XVII) and Iglésia do Carmo (XVIII), University of Porto, continuing along one of the most famous avenues, the Avenue of the Allies, São Bento Train Station, Cathedral, Palácio de Bolsa, and to finish we will enjoy the wonderful view from the top of Porto's most famous bridge: D. Luis I Bridge, one of the last
Kings of Portugal.
Return to the Hotel estimated at 5:00 p.m.

Day 6Região do Vale do Douro

Breakfast at the Hotel. Departure from Porto at 09:00 a.m. to one of Portugal's most famous regions: Vale do Douro. Douro (in Portuguese) is a Portuguese Controlled Designation of Origin (DOC) for wines produced in the region, but it could also be called the enchanted valley for all its beauty and charm of its landscapes on the beautiful Rio Duero. We will have the possibility of visiting 1 * or 2 * wine cellars, where we will have the opportunity to taste the different types of wines and learn about the history of the region and the process of production. Lunch will be included for group reservations. After lunch, time for a mini cruise ** lasting 1 hour in the region classified by UNESCO as World Heritage. (Valid for reservations of
groups).
 
Expected return to the hotel around 17:30

Day 7Porto
